Last ManStanding

The rules

Last Man Standing is simple. Here's how a game works.

Each round

  • Each round is one Premier League gameweek.
  • Pick one team to win before the deadline. Your organiser sets how long before the first kick-off picks close.
  • If your team wins, you're through. A draw or a defeat puts you out.
  • You can only use each team once. If you outlast all 20, your teams reset and you can use them all again.
  • Nobody sees anyone else's pick until the deadline passes.

Winning

  • The last player still standing wins.
  • If more than one player is still in when the season ends, they're joint winners.

Organiser settings

Organisers choose these when they create a game:

  • Missed picks: you're given the highest-placed team you haven't used yet (the default), or you're out.
  • Picks only count once paid (on by default when there's an entry fee): if the organiser hasn't marked you as paid by the deadline, your pick doesn't count and you're out. Tap "I've paid" to let them know.
  • Full gameweeks only (on by default): gameweeks where not every team plays, usually because of cup ties, are skipped.
  • Postponed matches: you survive and the team counts as used (the default), or your pick switches to the highest-placed team you haven't used and that team's result counts. A match moved out of its gameweek counts as postponed.
  • Everyone out in the same round: rollover (the default) ends the game with no winner and the pot carries into a new game, all-survive puts that round's players back in, or joint winners shares the win.

Rollovers and entry fees

We don't handle money. Organisers can record an entry fee and mark who has paid. In a rollover game, returning players pay one entry fee. New players pay one fee for each game that rolled over, plus the current one.

Joining

You can join until the first round's deadline. If fewer than two people have joined by then, the start moves back a gameweek.
